About Me
BIO
Hi! I'm Jen! I’m a Tampa based portrait photographer specializing in naturally emotive family, child, and newborn imagery. I currently serve the Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and St. Petersburg areas of Florida, though I do occasionally travel for client sessions (feel free to get in touch)! I have two kids of my own (twins!) who are my favorite people on the planet, along with my super supportive husband. Our dogs are pretty cool too. I love coffee and Friday nights on the couch, though generally not at the same time, and I'll fully admit to being a huge sci-fi nerd.
Aside from my portrait work, I also love to dabble in fine art landscapes and still-life’s, so please check back often to see my latest photos! Fine art prints are available for purchase over in my SHOP.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

FAQ
I've been wanting to book a family photography session for a while now, what can I expect if I book a session with you?
You can expect a unique, personalized photography experience that captures your family as you are right now, in this phase of life. Upon booking, you will receive a Welcome Guide with detailed information about what to expect and how to prepare. We will either shoot at my beautiful studio in South Tampa, or at the outdoor location of your choice.
Along with the Welcome Guide, you'll receive an access code to my online styling site, where you'll coordinate everyone's wardrobe with the help of a professional. This should take all the stress out of choosing outfits and ensure that everyone looks amazing on picture day! I also have a small client wardrobe for kids 8 and younger. Clients who choose a session at the studio will have access to the this wardrobe, which is heavy on neutral colors, if they’d like.
About one week before we meet, you'll receive a short questionnaire so I can get to know your family a bit better. I'll then touch base a day or two before the session to discuss the weather forecast (if applicable) and our exact meeting location.
During your session, we'll chat and have fun and smile for the camera a little bit too. I'll pose you very specifically, and then prompt you to do things that encourage candid, real moments between your family.
About three weeks after our session, you'll receive your digital files in a private online gallery. At that point, we will discuss print packages for your walls and frames at home (this part is completely optional, but very much encouraged).
I'm expecting and I want to book a newborn session. What can I expect if I book a newborn photography session with you?
I LOVE photographing newborns! Bringing home a new baby is one of the most meaningful and emotional experiences of your life, and it should absolutely be documented! I don't do baskets or beanbags or props of any kind, I do family connections, so we'll focus on interaction with the new baby (for an example of my newborn photography style, CLICK HERE).
Newborns sessions will be shot at my beautiful studio in South Tampa. It is one large room in a gorgeous old Cigar Factory. There is a white brick accent wall, tall ceilings, and hardwood floors. There is also a ton of natural light from two large windows. We have traditional studio backdrops (white, black, and an earthy tan color) but the space will also be fully furnished to mimic an "in-home" photography session. My goal is always simple and clean, with the focus being your connection to the new baby in a comfortable space. We have a small client wardrobe for young kids too, if you’d like to utilize this for any siblings. Our client wardrobe is heavy on neutral colors and somewhat gender neutral…again, simple and clean :) If you are more comfortable shooting your newborn session at home, that can also be arranged.
Upon booking, you will receive a Welcome Guide with detailed information about what to expect and how to prepare. You'll also receive an access code to my online styling site, where you'll coordinate everyone's wardrobe with the help of a professional. This should take all of the stress out of choosing outfits and ensure that everyone looks amazing on picture day!
Newborn sessions take about 2-3 hours. I'll pose you very purposefully to utilize our best natural light, and then prompt you to do things that encourage natural interaction.
About three weeks after your session, you'll receive your digital files in a private online gallery. At that point, we will discuss print packages for your walls and frames at home (this part is completely optional, but very much encouraged).
I want to look great for our session! How does this online styling site work exactly?
I'm glad you asked! This part is really fun and easy. Here's how it works...
Upon booking, I'll send you an access code to my styling site, and you'll fill out a short questionnaire.
Based on your responses, a selection of clothes will appear for each member of your family. You'll select your favorite items and view them together to see how everything looks.
You'll then click on the shopping links to purchase the clothes directly from the retailers. Some of the retailers they use are H&M, Zara, Target, Old Navy, Torrid, Modcloth, and Free People. A large majority of items they select are budget friendly ranging from $10-$80.
Or, if you have something similar in your closet already...you'll simply use the results as a personal style guide!
How long until I see my images? What's included?
JKP photography sessions are "all inclusive," meaning you'll receive a high resolution digital copy of all the professionally edited images in your gallery, plus a small complimentary print package. These are for personal use only. Turn around time for finished client galleries is typically about three weeks. Additional print products are available and sold separately. Please note that Petite Sessions do not include any print products.
Sounds great! How do I book?
Awesome! I cannot wait to work with you! To book your session, you can either fill out the contact form in the main menu (or just CLICK HERE) and I'll get back to you within a few hours, or you can book directly online by clicking the “Book Now” tab. Then I'll email you a booking contract and an invoice. Your booking contract can be signed electronically, and your invoice can be paid online. Only your retainer fee is due in full up front; your remaining balance is due a week before the session. Please note that due to the nature of my photography schedule, I cannot officially reserve a date without a signed contract and paid retainer.
